Experimental medicine and clinical studiesDave is a clinical cardiologist with an interest in experimental medicine and clinical studies and trials, and BHF Duke of Edinburgh Chair of Cardiology at the University of Edinburgh.
He has worked on understanding cardiovascular biology and (pathology) physiology in diseases of the heart including coronary heart disease and heart failure.
He has developed several novel imaging approaches in the assessment of the heart and heart failure and has conducted many early phase and Phase 1 clinical trials of novel heart failure interventions. Dave is therefore very excited to be working at the forefront of novel heart failure therapies and supporting their delivery into the clinic.
