We are committed to conducting our research in the best possible way, and sharing our practice openly to push the sector forward.

We expect all research conducted across the MRC/BHF CoRE in Advanced Cardiac Therapies to be rigorous, trustworthy and open.

Many aspects of our work will be shared openly, usually disseminated through this website, including key research outputs such as academic publications and data wherever possible.

We expect to work collaboratively with universities, independent research organisations, commercial entities and charity partners to achieve our goals.

Understanding our environmental impact

Biomedical advances need not come at additional cost to our climate and biodiversity. We aim to ensure that our research and operations contribute positively to a sustainable future, and share good practice across the sector.

Using animals in our research

We are open about relying on the use of animal models to identify therapeutic targets and translate them into clinical products which can be delivered as medicines to treat heart attack and heart failure in humans.
