Are you an early career researcher at one of our principal partner universities - King's College London, the University of Edinburgh or the University of Oxford?
Apply now for £5-20k consumables funding to pursue innovative projects that open new avenues towards the development of therapies for cardiac repair and regeneration.
We are inviting eligible applicants to apply for pump-prime funding.
This funding is intended to enable researchers to carry out new projects that are highly innovative and may open new avenues of investigations towards the development of therapies for cardiac repair and regeneration.
Projects must be substantially different from those in our existing research project portfolio. Studies on genes or pathways that are already under study within REACT, or projects that rely on methodologies and approaches that are already supported by REACT will not be considered for pump-prime funding. Projects should be innovative; integrating knowledge and approaches from beyond the cardiovascular field is encouraged.
Pump-prime projects should lead to the generation of pilot data that can be used to support future grant or fellowship applications and align to the applicant’s future career plans.
First round deadline: Monday 2 November 2026, 17:00 GMT
The full application pack, including criteria and application form, is downloadable as an editable Word document.
