Greg leads patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) and digital communications efforts for the MRC/BHF CoRE in Advanced Cardiac Therapies (REACT). He is based at the University of Edinburgh but supports work across all our partner organisations.

Greg holds an MA and MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. He has worked for higher education institutions and independent research organisations across the UK, with experience leading research involvement, engagement and communications activities alongside biomedical and environmental scientists.

As part of the REACT operations team, he is responsible for projects bridging the gap between scientific research in our academic sphere and its societal impact, especially as we aim to translate findings from lab bench to patient bedside in less than a decade.

His role places a particular emphasis on embedding dialogue with, and perspectives from, people with lived experience of heart attack and heart failure throughout the research lifecycle, in partnership with trusted collaborators from charity, community and healthcare organisations.

You can find more about this work on the patient partnerships page.
