Camilla is an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow in Mauro Giacca’s research group at King’s College London. Within REACT, Camilla's role is to investigate the structural features of cardiac regeneration in 3D at high resolution.

Camilla uses advanced optical tissue-clearing approaches alongside cutting-edge, custom-made light-sheet microscopy (mesoSPIM technology) to analyse the architecture of the regenerated myocardium. By performing whole-heart 3D reconstructions, her work aims to assess whether the newly formed myocardium is properly innervated, vascularised and if the proliferated cardiomyocytes are aligned and electrically connected with the survived tissue.
